It has taken me a while to write but I just wanted to tell you what a great experience it was for us to stay a few days in your beautiful apartment in Nelson. Both you and Evie were such gracious hosts - and the apartment was fantastic! Congratulations to you and your architect for such a fine job of updating that 1930's building to post-modern standards. The quality and finish of the kitchen and bathroom were top notch. I've not seen anything quite like it since my stay at the Frazier Suites in Sydney. The perfect place to stay in...

Posted ~ 11 April 2007 We (3 adults - one couple, one single) stayed in April 2007 and thought we were the first ones to use the apartment it was so immaculate! It's spacious, modern, and extremely well appointed. It's close to restaurants and cafes but had everything to cook your own meal for a really enjoyable night in. Our host Henry was very friendly and there were little touches like cooking oil in the pantry so you didn't have to buy a big bottle, that were really impressive and indicative of the personal attention to detail. We thought the price was reasonable, especially given the quality of the apartment and have already been recommending it to friends. I'd happily recommend it for a family or group of friends.

Posted ~ 1 April 2007 It was a wonderful surprise to find this 1930s architectural gem in Nelson. Exceptional attention has clearly been paid to detail in this fine restoration, providing stylish and very comfortable apartments, with kitchens and bathrooms fitted to the highest standards. You could stay a couple of days or a couple of months and have everything you need, including a warm, friendly welcome.

We stayed at the 404 and were surprised at the attention to detail the owners had gone to, and what quality fitments they had installed. These are super, modern, clean and quality apartments.
Henry and his wife Evie are very helpful and great people, nothing was too much trouble.
The beds were very comfy and everything was "spot on"

Centrally located, fully appointed apartments with friendly, accommodating hosts, 404 was a great find.
Beautifully presented and fully equipped, the units are quiet, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom have everything you could need and the high tech. entertainment system was impressive.
Perched on a hill they have pleasant district and local views, parking is easy and it is a short walk from the centre of town. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Just a short 5-minute walk into town, the location couldn't have been better. Recently refurbished, the accommodation was modern and extremely clean. An added bonus was the washer and dryer amenities. Henry and his family were very hospitable hosts - nothing was too much trouble. You won't be disappointed choosing 404 on Trafalgar!
